Case Management with CiviCRM
The CiviCase component of CiviCRM enables users to create cases and take them through different workflows depending on that case’s unique situation. For example, someone who got has their claim denied by their insurance company would go through a multi-step process of finding a lawyer, submitting an appeal, and receiving a response, while someone who needs to have their house rebuilt would go through the stages of being assessed, being scheduled, having work begin, having it end, etc. Each of these multistage processes would be configured beforehand. You can also use CiviCRM's tagging structure to do a basic type of case management. You can learn more about Tracking Correspondence with CiviCRM. We don’t currently have documentation for how to configure CiviCase for disasters so that’s on our to-do list for Phase II of this project.
