Long-Term Recovery Group Toolboxes

A Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) is a body that brings together grassroots community organizations, faith-based and secular service providers, residents and other stakeholders following a disaster. It creates the conditions for collaboration by getting people working on disaster recovery physically into the same room as one another, and builds power by creating opportunity for the LTRG to approach more-resoured groups (including large charities and government agencies) with a stronger voice. It is one of the best vehicles for getting residents engaged in the broader recovery effort.
